Company performance classes aim to continue to develop the student’s technique, flexibility, and strength, along with emotional expression conveyed through movement within ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and tap choreography. Students become involved in learning the choreographic process, and develop both dance and outreach/communication skills. Non-company students at IBT school are often invited to perform with company, and have many opportunities alongside the company dancers.
- Dancers in Company have the opportunity to perform choreography throughout the year in NW Indiana and Chicagoland during IBT classical full-length ballets, modern/contemporary dance concerts, IBT events such as the annual Gala, and in collaboration with area arts, non-profit, and community groups. Besides performing at venues in NW Indiana, they perform an annual performance in Dance Chicago!
- Dancers in IBT Company have danced on tour throughout Europe and Mexico, perform in invitationals and at Grand Prix Italia and Youth American Grand Prix.
